Nelly Furtado (everyone's favorite Canadian) and Josh (everyone's favorite Brown Canadians) got together for this jammin' little number called {Say What You Want}. Everytime I play this song I get "Can I get a copy of that?" from desis & non-desis alike. If you listen to the original version of this song on her album she is phoning it in - it is actually a very dull song. She went into the studio with Josh and re-did the vocals for the remix. Nelly Furtado is white???
Well not technically white - just not Desi. She is actually a Canadian citizen born to Poruguese parents. I was just pointing out that it was nice to see a non-Desi singer be so into Desi music. Of course, since the Portuguese have a vested interest in India (Goa, the naming of Bombay - meaning 'good bay') maybe we can give her honorary Desi status...
